KATIE ANVIL RICH
About
Actor | Writer | Teaching Artist
As an actor, I've worked throughout the U.S., U.K., Europe and Russia. Major U.S. credits include: Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Guthrie, American Repertory Theater, A.C.T. and the Walt Disney Discovers Talent Showcase. I have an MFA in Acting from Harvard University and the Moscow Art Theatre School (MXAT).
During my time as Literary Manager at Native Voices, the U.S.'s only Equity theater dedicated to the development of new plays by American Indian, First Nations, Native Hawaiian & Alaska Native playwrights, I supported the development nearly 100 new plays by Native writers. As a descendant of the Chickasaw and Cherokee Nations, it is an honor to contribute to my community's voice and increasing prominence in the American Theatre.
Notable Teaching & Directing Credits include: Harvard University, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, San Diego State University, CalPoly: Pomona, Harvardwood TV Writer's Program
I love a new play, a TV series rewatch, a challenge, and a labradoodle.
